Details: Complete Building Management System
BMS (Building Management Systems) is a control system that monitors and controls all the electromechanical systems of a building such as the following:
- Cooling
- Heating
- Ventilation
- Lighting
- Energy Systems
BMS is made up of Software and Hardware and uses open communication protocols such as:
BACnet, Lon, Modbus etc.
BMS is normally used in large buildings. Its basic function is to manage the air temperature and humidity, as well as its CO2 levels.
Most BMS systems control the production of heating and cooling, manage the air distribution systems inside the building, and locally control the mixture of hot and cold air to achieve the proper room temperature. They also control the level of human CO2 production, mixing outdoor fresh air with that of the building’s interior, thereby raising the oxygen level without causing significant leaking when it comes to Heating and Cooling.
Buildings with a (Building) Management System present an estimated of 40% less energy consumption and lightning included, up to 70% of the energy can be saved.
